Telephone, computer or electric providers will not:

* Call you and then ask you to pay your bill over the phone.
* Call you and threaten you in any other way.
* Call and ask you to purchase a debit card or give your card or banking information.

If you receive a call from a company or organization that you do business with, contact them directly by looking up their phone number online or by using the customer service number they have listed on their billing or other printed correspondence. This number can also assist you in alerting the business or organization that their customers are being targeted to receive questionable phone calls and inquiries.

Adding your telephone number(s) to this registry does not mean that you will no longer receive incoming calls from debt collectors, charities, surveys or political groups or other similar types of¬†groups.
