AVILLA – Leaf pick-up for Avilla town residents will begin when the majority of the leaves have fallen. Leaves should be raked between the curb and sidewalk, never in the street or put in bags. Do not burn leaves within town limits.
Leaves and grass clippings are composted and are free to the public. Compost is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Mulch from limbs and brush is also available. Pick up and load your mulch and compost south of Fourth Street, near the railroad.
Limb and brush pick-up is a service for Avilla town residents only. Pick- up will be each Thursday beginning in April and continuing through November. Limbs and brush should be placed at the curb (not pavement) before 7:00 a.m. on the day of pick-up. Residents are welcome to take limbs and brush to the brush pile located south of Fourth Street on the old railroad right-of-way. Full details are available at the Town Hall.
