State Police Detectives Seeking The Public’s Help

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Police is seeking information related to the murder of 30 year old Derrick Gregory of Indianapolis on November 25th, 2015. Detectives have been actively investigating this case for nearly two years, and are once again asking for anybody with information to come forward. Gregory was shot inside his vehicle on I-70 near I-465 at approximately 6:30 p.m. November 25th, 2015 on the east side of Indianapolis. If you have information that could assist detectives in closing this case and bringing justice to the Gregory family please call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.

Indianapolis, IN- Indiana State Police troopers from the Indianapolis District are currently working an incident on the east side of Indianapolis on I-70 WB at the 88.8mm,  (I-465 NB to I-70 WB), where a man appears to have suffered a gunshot wound.

Yesterday evening, November 25th at approximately 6:30 p.m., troopers were sent to I-70 WB at the 88.8mm on the report of a disabled vehicle. When troopers arrived they found an unresponsive male in the vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel were summoned and transported the male subject to Eskenazi Hospital. The male was the only person in the vehicle.

ISP detectives and crime scene investigators secured the scene on the interstate and the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was impounded to a secure location. Investigators confirmed the pickup has several bullet holes in the windshield and driver’s side door.

The victim Derrick Gregory, 30, of Indianapolis, succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased this evening at 6:15 p.m.
