Car reported stolen, driver & passenger arrested on multiple charges

AVILLA – A man and woman, both from Kendallville, were arrested last night after they were stopped by an Indiana State Trooper for allegedly driving in a stolen vehicle.

According to Trooper Richard Williams, at approximately 8:30 p.m., he was patrolling on northbound State Road 3 near County Road 200S, just south of Avilla when he conducted a license plate inquiry on a car near him.  He was informed the car, a 2003 Honda Civic, had been reported stolen.

Williams, along with a Noble County Sheriff Deputy conducted a felony traffic stop near County Road 100S and its driver, 32-year-old Jessica Ann Michelbrink and the passenger, 19-year-old Jerremmy Lee Hall were detained.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Michelbrink had a total of five arrest warrants issued for her with three being from Noble County and two from DeKalb County.  Her driving privileges were also suspended.  Hall also had two arrest warrants issued for him out of Noble County.  Both were taken into custody without incident and incarcerated in the Noble County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

  • Jessica Ann Michelbrink:
    -Theft, Level 6 Felony
    -Driving While Suspended, Class A Misdemeanor
    -Arrest Warrants from Noble (Failure to Appear, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Marijuana)
    -Arrest Warrants from DeKalb County (Dealing a Look Alike Drug, Driving While Suspended-Prior)
  • Jerremmy Lee Hall
    -Theft, Level 6 Felony
    -Arrest Warrants from Noble County (Probation Violation, Possession of Meth)
